Surfactants will certainly improve the wettability of aqueous solutions
2021-01-27 09:03:06

The high surface activity of surfactants is due to the small van der Waals attraction between the molecules. The tension required for the surfactant molecules to move from the aqueous solution to the surface of the solution is small, resulting in a large number of surfactant molecules gathering on the surface of the solution, forming a strong surface adsorption, and this kind of complex not only has a small affinity for water.

However, its ability of interfacial tension on oil / water interface is not strong. For example, when fluorine-containing surfactant is combined with hydrocarbon surfactant, fluorine-containing surfactant can selectively adsorb on water surface to reduce the surface tension, while hydrocarbon surfactant can adsorb on oil / water interface, If the interfacial tension is reduced, the wettability of aqueous solution will be improved.

The application principle of surfactant in water-based metal cleaning agent is to weaken or offset the adhesion of oil on the metal surface through the properties of wetting, penetration, emulsification, dispersion and solubilization of surfactant, and accelerate the oil to leave the metal surface and enter into the washing liquid by mechanical and physical methods to be emulsified, dispersed and suspended or solubilized in micelles.

Water based metal cleaning also requires adding inorganic auxiliaries: corrosion inhibitor, cosolvent, foam stabilizer, defoamer, filler and so on.

Formula: nonylphenol polyvinyl chloride (20) ether 80% oleic acid 8% triacetic acid amine 8% boric acid triacetic acid amide 8% succinic acid monobutyl ether 8% silicone defoamer 0.2% residual water diluted to 5% when used note: the above percentage is the mass ratio.
