Among them, the pollution of Dianchi Lake has been proved to be caused by the use of a large number of phosphorus containing detergents by residents. But it will take a long time to solve the problem. At present, 4A zeolite has been used to replace sodium tripolyphosphate. 1. Surfactants should be easy to biodegradation, renewable raw materials, widely used, no pollution to the environment, and safe and mild to people and animals. Long chain alkylpolyglycosides (APG) and linear Dodecylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) are promising surfactants. APG is a newly developed, renewable surfactant with good biodegradability. Las is a kind of old product. It has been proved by recent research that the biodegradation degree of LAS is 98% after being treated by waste water plant, which meets the requirements of environmental protection.

2. The surfactant should be highly effective and multifunctional. In addition to its cleaning function, it should also have the functions of bacteriostasis, sterilization, moistening skin, etc., and it should continuously develop new uses.

Cosmetic surfactants are newly developed in recent years. They have higher and stricter requirements on products, such as anti-aging, skin moisturizing, wrinkle removing, whitening, etc. The active ingredients of cosmetics affect the metabolism of the body through the absorption of the skin, so as to achieve real beauty. The effect should be felt or seen. Sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate (PCA) is a natural moisturizing factor of cosmetics, which has anti-aging and wrinkle removing effects. Therefore, PCA is widely used in high-grade cosmetics. Surfactant as emulsifier is very important in emulsion application of cosmetics, mainly concentrated on non-ionic surfactant and polymer emulsifier. Cosmetic emulsion includes double emulsion, W/O, O/W, liquid crystal phase, multiple emulsions, W/O/W, O/W/O, microemulsion and so on. The main products are facial cleanser, moisturiser, cleanser, etc. There will be new products coming out in this field.

3. Hard water resistance and low temperature washing effect are good. Concentrated surfactant washing products are a development direction, including concentrated washing powder and concentrated liquid detergent. Obviously, saving packaging, reducing freight and occupying less land are good for environmental protection, manufacturers and consumers. At present, some developed countries have been vigorously promoting and achieving results, and Chinese manufacturers are also working in this direction. Room temperature washing is a common requirement of consumers. This problem has not been solved in China. For example, a large number of tableware detergents are used, the washing effect of cold water is not as good as warm water, and warm water is not as good as hot water. Although it is common for users, it is a problem to be solved for manufacturers and scientific research departments.

Surfactants are a large group of substances. According to statistics, there are more than 1000 kinds of surfactants. In the future, there will be more than 150 kinds of surfactants in common use. They are closely related to our lives, affecting and changing our lives.
